Texas Deputy vs. N.Y. Lawyer…

A lawyer runs a stop sign and is then pulled over by a sheriff's deputy. He thinks that he is smarter than the deputy because he is a lawyer from New York and is certain that he has a better education than any cop from Houston, Texas. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Texas deputy's expense.

The deputy says," License and registration, please."

"What for?" says the lawyer.

The deputy says, "You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign."

Then the lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming."

"You still didn't come to a complete stop, Says the deputy. License and registration, please."

The lawyer says, "What's the difference?"

"The difference is you have to come to complete stop, that's the law. License and registration, please!" the Deputy says.

Lawyer says, "If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket."

"That sounds fair. Please exit your vehicle, sir," the deputy says.

At this point, the deputy takes o u t his nightstick and starts beating the ever-loving shit out of the lawyer and says, "Do you want me to stop, or just slow down?"

Mazzi Ward is the younger sister of Bernie, Pat, Tim and Elaine Favuzzi. She was the older sister of Robert (Yotsey). When she was 21 she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. She overcame a lot of obstacles in life but never complained. She always greeted you with a warm smile. She passed away at the age of 50. She was friends with Bern McGinley, Donna Quinn, Terry Milec, Ruth Lynch, Clare Ryan. This fundraiser is in Mazzi's honor.

When I was a kid the old man would take me to tommy Janton for a haircut and when he was done he would put what he called pidgeon milk in my hair before the final comb through. It was actually just Vitales. I'm sure there were plenty of people that didn't go to Janton so I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't remember that.

If you are from Fairmount you should know the Ward Family from Swain Street - We went to school with Marian (Mazzi). Always the life of the party. Never a bad word to say about anyone. One of my best friends. She passed away three years ago and now we celebrate her life with a scholarship fund. The scholarship goes to SFX or Hallahan. BUT, we feel this is a great chance for a Fairmount reunion. Mazzi would have loved it. Anyone needs tickets e-mail me.

As for the cvs vs the walt's & henneberrys that remain, the big stores just don't know or don't care. I'd rather spend a little more $ & get better service that cares, will answer your questions & actually help you out.
