its funny the oldtimers will remember back in the 60s and 70s all North Philly went Black, but this lttle section bounded by 30th stree to Corinthian ave.and Poplar street down to Spring Garden and the Parkway somehow stayed mostly white. The people didn't panic and run to the Northeast,New Jersey and Delaware County no they stayed in there little row homes where they grew up in and there parents grew up in---when you think about that whole little pocket called "FAIRMOUNT"could have tunred Black but didn't--it blows my mind sometimes--and you to give all those families credit--God Bless them all.

I agree with Lisa Trout, but then again it isnt safe to walk anywhere in philly anymore. I live in port richmond have been here for over 13 years, and it has gotten worse, cant turn a corner or go to the store without someone wanting to rob you. It dont seem to be safe anywhere these days.

To the person who thinks that putting up a memorial on a wall is vandalizing, maybe you need to go around and see all the memorials that have been put up on walls in memory of those who have passed. Dont matter how they have gone, they were still good people, just took a different approach to life compared to others. So, before you want to criticize because of "graffiti" maybe you should think how nice it was that someone took the time to remember Jimmy.

Name: Date Entered:August 31st, 2007 I knew your brother well. Shame he died, but look at the circumstances of his death, yet someone memorializes him in a graffiti tribrute & you are proud of it?? So basically some a-hole can vandalize someone else's property w/ graffiti in tribute to your brother & it is OK?? That's BS, the person who did it, if ID'd should be arrested & charged w/ vandalism & trespassing & should have to remove every bit of paint from the wall.

To: I didnt come on here looking for some asshole to tell me about the curcumstances of my brothers death....you might think you know them...but you don't and I didnt write that, to have you calling someone an a-hole because they memorialized my brother in graffit.....I am guessing your not creative or artistic enough to do something like that and it pisses you off but remember...that is just my opinion not the facts...and by the way how do you know the person was trespassing? Could have been their own back yard wall....maybe someone else wanted it painted on their own wall... if there is a problem with where the location is...fuck! I will go remove it myself....but dont come on here talking shit if you dont even know what your talking about...unless you got facts to back it up...and post your name with your comment...this will be the only I aim directly at you. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Name: Hey Kim C. Date Entered:August 31st, 2007 I do not think a person who graffitied a wall is going to sue you for copyright infringement. LOL Some ppl are real winners.

I wasnt worried about copyright ...I was just curious to who did it..
