Thank you webmaster for getting rid of the dirt that was going on in here I agree the crap inst needed here. i liked it better when we were talking about Maxine and lemon sticks parties at the Bridge and the swing at the love Rock. Running from the cops when drinking in the park and charging for cups at the falls when having a keg. That was the good stuff that made me laugh and think of how good we realy did have it back in the day. I will admit I did like the super hero thing that was funny.

All posts to the guestbook must now be approved by the site moderators. This approval process will usually take less than 24 hours (when posts are made between 9 AM and 5 PM EST, approval will be almost immediate ). I've taken this step because:

#1) The guestbook--as I've indicated before--is intended to serve as a place for visitors to the site to say hello and perhaps post some info about themselves (where they live, if they grew up in Fairmount, what they're doing now, etc.). The Forum is a more appropriate place for carrying on conversations among users.

#2) I currently live in Fairmount. I like the neighborhood a lot. It has its fair share of problems, but by and large, it's a great place to live. I would like the guestbook to reflect that, and the profanity, name calling, and disrespect that has been going on in the guestbook does not meet that goal. I'll be a little more flexible with what is posted in the Forum, but--as has already happened once--if things get too out of hand there, I'll either further restrict what can be posted, or take away the Forum altogether. If the guestbook continues to be abused, it will be removed, as well.

Further, I've moved some of the posts that I don't think belong in the guestbook to this Forum thread.

Questions, comments, and concerns can be sent via the Contact link at the top and bottom of each page.

This has turned into a rough board I liked it better when it was "nice" to remember people and places of Fairmount. Leave the Loonstyn's alone. They are all good guys with great families. Let's go back to the remembering the good times like hanging on Swain Street or the grain parties at the old swing at 26th Street. As for people who have passed remember their good times and the people they have left behind. I have been gone a few years now and I think I will always miss the neighborhood.

I seen that on the noon news channel 6 here is a copy of the story.

Rape, Burglary Suspect WantedAugust 25, 2005 - Philadelphia police need help finding a man they say raped a woman in her home early Thursday morning.

This is 20-year-old Anthony Jennings, also known as "Boo." He's charged with rape, robbery and burglary. Investigators say he broke into a 43-year-old woman's home in the Fairmount section of the city around 2:45a.m Thursday. Once inside, police say he sexually assaulted and robbed the woman. Jennings then reportedly took off in the victim's convertible BMW. It was recovered later in the day.

If you know where Jennings is, call police.
