Another problem w/blacks again on Sat. nt. approx. 11am - 8 blacks on 25th & swain broke a car window on swain st. (probably to steal it but the alarm went off) they then proceeded to rob 4 white kids on taylor & aspen but after 2 "911" calls the cops finally came & arrested them outside of Jumbo's - again where were the cops. If the call was make that there were "white" kids on the corner the cops would have been there immediately.

I just started reading this site and think its wonderful to remember all the fun times Maxines, the pizza truck, and the water ice man who drove around, what about Jimmer who had our hot dogs and soda ready after those sofball and baseball games at the field. Fairmount sports is still running and always for the kids, hats off to those parents.

Pls dont take away the forum it makes it feel like the 5th is being taken away. Political correctness is taking over the world, what ever happen to the real fairmount people who say what is on our minds and even if we dindt like what the person had to say you had to respect them for letting you know where you stood and not go stabbing you in the back. Maybe this is why fairmount people event thought we have moved on in life are still all connected one way or another. All my best mates and the people I respect most are all REAL FAIRMOUNTER. We all know the saying "You can take the person out of fairmount but you cant take the fairmount out of the person. Kepp the forum and if a person gets pissed about what is written then they can lick off. Also, Thank you webmaster for all your hard work.

I don't think we should have to register in that forum to post a reply. The people in there will talk mean if you say something they don't like.

The Forum has been brought back to life...but not without a few modifications. I've removed the posts that were offensive to certain people. If this upsets you, you'll have to get over it. I am maintaining this site as a service to Fairmount and will make whatever decision I think is necessary for the good of the site--and for the good of Fairmount.

The Forum now requires that posters be registered in order to post. To register click on the "Register" link at the top of the Forum pages. You'll need to register using a valid e-mail address. Once you complete the registration, you'll receive an e-mail at the address you registered with which will contain a link you must click in order to activate your registration. Once you've done so, you can log in to the Forum (use the Log In link at the top of the Forum pages) and start posting and replying.

If there continue to be problems in the Forum, it will be disabled altogether.

I encourage all users to contact me if there is a post that they feel is inappropriate. With the most recent problem, the individuals who were upset by certain posts waited far too long to contact me and by that point, things had gotten too far out of control.

I appreciate the comments in the guestbook expressing your "love" of the Forum. I only ask that you remember how much you like the forum when you are tempted to write or reply in a way that could offend others. I'm not talking about complete political correctness--just simple compassion.
